What does a Chiropractor do?

Chiropractors do not prescribe any medications. Instead, we rely on and assist the body's ability to heal itself. A chiropractor’s primary therapy is an adjustment where we may use hands or instruments to apply force to a joint, moving the joint in a specific direction for better alignment and motion. The detection and correction of these spinal dysfucntions, known as subluxations, restores normal joint physiology and reduces stress on the nervous system.

In addition to our primary therapy of chiropratic adjustmetns, we may also integrate exercises, nutrional counseling, lifestyle advice and daily ergonomics.

What do I need to bring?

With your first visit, you may want to bring

  • Pertinent Medical records
  • X-rays
  • Advanced Imaging Reports (MRI's, thermal scans, etc.)
  • New Patient Forms if appropriate

Any attire that is comfortable to you. If need be, we will drape the patient with a towel for examination and adjustments.

How long will my visits take?

Your first two visits with us are the most important. Depending on what evaluations we’re performing and how many questions you may have, we strive to keep your first two visits between 45 – 90 minutes. Once the best treatment for your needs has been determined, your regular adjustment appointments can range anywhere from 10 – 15 minutes.

I’m nervous what should I expect?

We understand this may be new to you or you may have had bad experiences in the past, but don’t be nervous! We take our time to get to know what your body needs and the doctors use the most specific effective chiropractic techniques suitable to your comfort. We will make sure you are comfortable throughout the process. We will also educate and explain everything we will do prior to starting. Check out our What to Expect page for more information about your first visit.

When will I start feeling better?

Everyone’s body responds differently but we have grown to one of the largest offices in the entire Yavapai County based on the incredible results we see. Some people start to feel symptomatic relief after just one adjustment, and most see significant changes by their first reassessment. With every visit we know that you are one step closer to receiving your symptomatic breakthrough, and one step close to reaching your optimal health.

How much will each adjustment cost?

Every person and every situation are different. We will not know how much your chiropractic care and treatment will cost until we have had a chance to evaluate the findings of your chiropractic assessment, your history and determine what care is most appropriate for you.

It is important to us, as it is to you, to keep care affordable for both individuals and families. Ask about our self-pay options to make your healthcare affordable. Our cash rate ranges from $25-180 depending on services performed. Ask about our New Patient Specials or check our Instagram or Facebook.

How many visits will I need?

The number of treatments will vary depending on the problem and individual. After a thorough assessment, the doctor will discuss their treatment plan for the correction process. Look to our Action Plans for further details on our care process.

What should I wear to my appointment?

We will be able to work around any attire you choose. Make sure you are comfortable in whatever you choose. We can drape a towel or gown over anyone when necessary.

Do I have to be referred by a medical doctor?

No, Doctors of Chiropractic can assess and treat without referral by a medical doctor.

When will I get my first adjustment?

The first step is to identify the cause of your health concern by looking at your history and completing thorough health assessments in our office. We typically do not start care on your first visit so that we can spend quality time looking over your findings. After gathering this information about your case, we can determine what care is required.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept some limited insurances that cover chiropractic care. At your initial visit, bring your picture ID and insurance card so we may complete a complimentary benefits check to let you know exactly what to expect. You will not incur any charges prior to us discussing them with you.

How do I make an appointment?
